POETRY BY RACHELLE WOODS; ARTWORK BY VIDA VILJOEN
try
please
only try
penetrate
eyes
patterns
support
transformation
unity
submit
to a magic man
be full
the sacred fool
follow impulse
cultivate energy
allow
no judgment
liberate your mystery
expose old bones
please
all respect
be delicate
why I can not?

After years of calling Maine home, Rachelle Woods is currently settled in Santa Fe. She finds collaboration and performance with other poets and movers inspiring, and hosts a writing group and a contact improv dance jam. Rachelle co-hosted a monthly peace reading for seven years, as well as an open reading that has continued with new hosts for almost as long. Her work has appeared in regional journals and anthologies.
