The Dance Falls of December – The Trust Fall

If you haven’t gotten on this choo-choo train yet it’s time to get on board. It’s the post-post-post-post-post modern dance world and we’re falling all over ourselves. Falling is back in vogue. Fall in love. Fall into bliss. Fall head first. Fall down a deep dark shaft. Whether you’re falling metaphorically, choreographically, spiritually, metaphysically, or just because you tripped, make sure there’s a gravity-has-taken-over element involved.

Not sure how to fall? You can always follow fall guru Liz Brent’s guide and do The Martha, The Knee Drop, or The Hitting of the Wall. All three are guaranteed great results in getting you to the floor dramatically and efficiently.

But wait – there’s more! It’s the holidays, that warm fuzzy time when we cherish each other and our bonds of trust and camaraderie. What better way to test those bonds of trust and camaraderie than with The Trust Fall. Believe me, after doing The Trust Fall with enough people, you’ll know exactly who to get a gift for and who to de-friend on Facebook.

So falls away! Happy Holidays from Stance On Dance! And may all your falls be graceful and lithe!
