Jake and Ryan love watching dance. They can’t get enough. Every month they plan their calendar around their favorite upcoming shows. But in order to ease the tension and get into the mood, they also bring a cocktail catered to that specific performance. So what’s in September’s flask?

“Between the Shadow and the Soul”  is inspired by nature and experience and the cyclical nature of human interaction.

Drink Selection: Ryan thinks a Dark ‘N’ Stormy is the perfect drink pairing for this show – rum, ginger beer and lime. Jake’s thinking a black and tan, blending pale shadow ale and dark soul beer.

“Mother Tongue” is a multi-disciplinary improvisation installation.

Drink Selection: When reading about this piece, Ryan had a flashback to getting his mouth washed out with soap.  Therefore, we named this drink “Thyme Out.” Gin, lemon, simple syrup and thyme sprigs.  Muddle thyme, lemon and syrup and gin.

Seth Eisen brings to life professor, tattoo artist, and gay pioneer, Sam Steward with his piece “Homo File.” In “Fuck My Life (FML),” Xandra Ibarra contemplates the destiny of her own queer burlesque personae — La Chica Boom.

Drink Selection: FML calls for an Adios Mother Fucker! – Vodka, rum, gin, tequila, blue curacao, 7-up and sweet and sour mix.  Jake wants to drink “Below the Belt” which will be Kahlua, Baileys, whipped cream and amaretto.
